Board and Train
$150 per day. $120 per day after 14 days. Must start in-home training prior to board and train. This helps me see how you and your dog interact in your environment, not mine. I can also evaluate how you will be best able to continue with the maintenance training once your dog returns home.
Boarding and training at my house is not about sitting in a kennel and waiting for a training session every couple of hours. It is about living in a house and learning how to have good habits involving self control like waiting at doorways, staying off kitchen counters, and not impulsively barking at sights and sounds. It is about being calm while people enter the home and content while watching another dog get some attention. It is about waiting for invitation and having patience while waiting for the next game or activity. Your dog will learn to pay attention during distractions in a variety of environments.
Of course we will work on all the "obedient" things like polite leash walking, recall, and stay but the foundation behaviors will be emphasized because they make all the "obedience" training much easier for you and your dog.
And, yes, there will be some pen time for naps/sleeping and during times when I do not want dogs to mingle.
Aggressive and very vocal dogs are disruptive to other dogs in my home and cannot be accepted. However, we can start in-home training until we get those issues under control.
